About ChainStudy Editorial

Your problem: the Chinese and English crypto tutorials online split roughly into machine-translated marketing copy and pieces that never say where any of it came from. You ask in a Discord and get a referral link in DM. You ask in a Telegram group and someone offers "1:1 coaching." You search Google and the first result is a phishing wallet download. What we can do is label the evidence: product mechanics come from official documentation, quoted with a link; interface steps follow public pages we can screenshot; anything involving fees or amounts is worked through as an offline example and labeled as one. Once the sources and the steps are all written down, you shouldn't have to trust us — you should be able to walk through it yourself, and every correction goes up as a public diff.

Editorial Lead

Lin Zhixing (pen name / 林知行)

Writes about on-chain security and self-custody wallets. Main topics: wallet security, cross-chain bridge risk, on-chain phishing defense. He writes most of the articles on this site.

Why we publish under a pen name

Most crypto content sites, in Chinese and in English, are written under pen names. We keep one fixed pen name for the editorial lead, for these reasons:

How we work

Articles are written under a pen name from official documentation and public on-chain data, and checked against those sources before they go out; mistakes found later are fixed in public on the corrections page. A piece roughly goes like this:

  1. Topic proposal — editorial discussion sets priority
  2. Sources first — factual claims land on public on-chain data, official docs or security-firm post-mortems wherever they can, cited in the piece; worked examples are labeled as demonstrations
  3. Draft and check — mostly drafted by Lin Zhixing, then figures and steps are checked again against the official pages and on-chain records cited in the piece
  4. Publish once that check is done
  5. Post-publish errors logged to corrections with full diff

What we cite

Editorial opinion is labeled "the editorial team thinks" and kept separate from verifiable facts.

How we keep the lights on

ChainStudy is an independent third-party information site with no operational or equity relationship to OKX, MetaMask, Phantom, or any other project mentioned. Two revenue paths:

  1. OKX referral compensation. Some of our OKX mentions are referral links. If you sign up and trade, OKX shares a portion of platform fees with us. It doesn't add anything to your cost. This is the FTC-standard affiliate disclosure that footer-links every page.
  2. Reader sponsorship / subscription (not enabled yet; if it launches, the mechanism and use of funds will be public).

We do not accept sponsored posts, paid reviews, private project pitches (including from OKX — our OKX coverage is independently written), course revenue, signal-group revenue, or any token-promotion holdings.

Conflict-of-interest disclosure

Editorial members commit: no holdings in any "project-specific token", meme coin, or unreleased project airdrop expectation that we positively recommend. Our OKX coverage is put together from OKX's official pages and public sources.

Contact

We do not run any official Telegram / Discord / Twitter accounts. Anyone "ChainStudy support" DMing you is impersonation. We never initiate contact requesting your information.
